Snowpark Training vs. Snow Park Certification
The CSIA offers two options for the Snow Park program.
Snowpark Certification is a 3 day (20 hour) course for any competent parallel skier over the age of 15 with some park experience. The successful candidate is certified to teach snow park skills up to and including intermediate skill level. The program covers terrain park etiquette and safety, teaching methodology for switch skiing rails, jumps and an intro to half pipe. Candidates are tested on their skiing and teaching skills and must pass the standards to be certified.
Snowpark Training is a 2 day (13 hour) program for instructors already certified with the CSIA who want a basic knowledge of the terrain park, etiquette and safety. The teaching progressions for switch skiing, rails and jumps are covered during the course but participants are not tested and do not need to be able to demonstrate the skills. The training provides the tools to take students into the terrain park safely, while being covered under the CSIA insurance liability policy. This program is offered on its own or in conjunction with the first 2 days of a Certification program. Course Fees:$224.10 + tax
